Thanks for your help. I have managed to unlock the phone, but do not know why when I insert the original sim card "0range", I get the message "sim registration invalid", but I can still use the sim card. I do not get this message when I insert a t-mobile sim card on the phone. Any idea why, please? Thanks0

if it says sim reg failed then its either barred on orange or you havent registered the sim card or the sim has expired.
try with a known working orange sim to find out0 -

I think, I did not make myself clear although it says "sim registration card failed" when I switched on the phone, I can still use the phone with no problem with the same old sim card from orange. That's why I am puzzled.0 -
Phone 0800 80 10 80 and explain this to Orange you may need a replacement sim if its faulty0
