DQ is a few days after the MCOL says they have issued it to you by post , which is after the claimant tells the CCBC they are proceeding ,so let us say by Feb 2021 , so keep checking the MCOL website once a week , especially in January
The WS plus Exhibits plus summary costs assessment will be in several months time , probably spring or summer 2021 but could be even later , it can take a year in total to get to a hearing
Read the Bargepole post and other links in that same newbies FAQ sticky thread for a timeline of events
Having read through this thread it worries me that we have to keep sending you back to that newbies thread !!! 😤1

Assuming this means Defence, did you send it by e-mail to the address provided in the defence template thread? I hope you didn't file it using the MCOL system!mgmju411 said:Good morning. I filed my DS which is now listed on the MCOL site. I would like to know when I'm likely to receive the DQ and the date when I will have to submit my WS. Thanks in advance2

I followed the guidance provided in this forum I e-mailed it. I didn't use the MCOL option.2

Defence is not abbreviated to "DS", because it is not a statement.Just check mcol every couple days, then fill in the online n180. Easy.1

Good morning and many thanks for all the advice and guidance you have provided so far. Latest update is that I filed the DQ and received confirmation last week that the case has been transferred to my local court. Yesterday I received a letter from BWLegal offering me a reduced settlement figure strictly without prejudice, which I do not intent to pay. In addition to this they also provided a detailed challenge to the defence that I submitted which I assume is a tactic they use to continue with their misleading statements and intimidation. One paragraph in particular caught my eye, it is about Internet Defence, copying and pasting and nonsensical defence. I have attached an image of this for your comments. I would like to take this all the way and challenge them in court but wanted to check if I should I respond and challenge the points raised or just start working on my witness statement. Thanks again for everyone's help 0

They are shooting themselves in the foot. Unless you have intimate knowledge of contract law you would be foolish not to use the internet. Have they never heard of The Open University!
Personally I would send that letter to the SRA and the Law Society ask them whether they support such rudeness.

One paragraph in particular caught my eye, it is about Internet Defence, copying and pasting and nonsensical defence. I have attached an image of this for your comments.BWL use that in every WS they carefully draft throw together, oddly enough using one of their own templates - it's 95% template, every time. Just do a forum search on 'nonsensical' to read how often that word comes up in BWL cases!
As far as using the internet for your research, well, in days of yore you'd have been down to the local library to read up on how to defend, but, sadly for BWL, this is the 21st century and Google has replaced library microfiche searches. And as a Judge retorted to a legal rep prosecuting a private parking charge, 'So what?'Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Update 27 Mar 2021 I have now received a court date from my local court stating that I have an ‘in person hearing’ scheduled for June 2021 with a 2 hour slot allocated. I’m now preparing my WS and evidence which is based on inadequate signage and the unlawful additional charge of £60 The instructions say I have to send my WS to all parties by 14th April and create a Trial Bundle in a suitable ring binder. Any advice on this would be really appreciated 0
