ARGOS Faulty Item Frustration.

Hi Everybody.
The item is a Logitech Universal Folio for my ipad. I bought it online. It arrived on 13th April. It stopped working after about 7 days. At that time Argos were not accepting faulty items instore and I should call the dreaded 0345 640 2020 number. It was not even going to any automatic response. It was a waste of time.
The message on the top of the screen said "Any purchases made from 1 March 2020, can be returned up to 30 days from our standalone stores reopening."
My question is this. WHEN DID THESE SLIPPERY SO-AND-SOS OPEN THEIR STANDALONE STORES?
Having a lot of guff about returning this faulty item for a refund. They are insisting I contact Logitech Support and get them to provide a reference number before they deal with me. They absolutely take NO responsibility for after sales care.
I used to rate Argos for their after sales care, but no longer. As far as I am concerned, they have returned to the Dark Ages.

Can't see what the issue is here. All the information is clearly there on the argos.co.uk website. A quick search of your postcode in their store locater tells you whether your local stand alone store is open or not.
As soon as yours is, simply take it back.

None of them would have opened more than 30 days ago anyway so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Standalone (non essential) stores have only been allowed to be opened (in England) since Monday (June 15) - have you not been watching the news.

My nearest store is open. I am self-isolating. They will not collect the item as they are not doing that at present. My car driving friends are like me, self-isolating for one reason or another so would not be able to help.

Have you got the date when these type of stores were allowed to open?

Have Argos ever done a collection service for such small items?

Then find someone else to take it for you, or post it.

    So. To be clear.
You are self isolating but feel its essential someone travels to you to collect a faulty ipad case?
