Lost all BBC TV and radio channels on Freeview

My TV (an LG) suggests a retune quite often. Sometimes this is because of new channels, sometimes because one or more channels are moving and sometimes who knows. I usually do it unless it is inconvenient and all goes ok except that occasionally I lose BBC1 and have to do another retune.0

Use the TV and/or DVD-recorder's metering to check all the multiplexes you receive and note down the signal level and quality.
That could well give an indication of how near the digital cliff edge you are.
HDMI cables can cause cross interference to aerial cables. Try keeping them well apart and also try alternative cables if you have them. Some are better than others at screening out the interference - price is not an indication of quality. Amazon basics and pound stores can be perfectly good!
LOCATION matters. You may be seeing weaker distant transmitters that are 'flagged' as new. But there are a few changes happening at the moment with TV channels moving from the shortly to close COM 8 (DVB-T2) mux to others (COM7, DVB-T2 and COM5 DVB-T. That will cause such retune popups to appear. Should be complete around the 25th (if memory serves me right).0 -
We’re really enjoying Pointless at the moment. I got really fed up of the noisy background music on the quick fire rounds on The Chase. Pointless seems a lot more classier. If ITV disappeared I wouldn’t miss it. I would miss the BBC though.0
