A lot seems to hinge on 4th July, such as pubs possibly being able to open in England. However, the dates are speculative based on newspaper reports of “leaks” from Government departments. Until there are official announcements, it is all guesswork.

The Scottish  Government next review for easing lockdown is 9 the July, when we will enter phase 3, if  conditions are right.
Phase 3 includes Getting around: In this phase you can drive beyond your local area for leisure and exercise purposes. Public transport will be operating full services but capacity will still be significantly limited to allow for physical distancing. Travel at peak times will be discouraged as far as possible. There may be geographical differences in arrangements depending on local circumstances.
There is no fixed date as to when that would happen, after 9 July as phase 2 easing was staggered and some parts were not implemented but will be considered at a later date.
4 July is the date of the UK review , which does not apply to Scotland.

That is exactly the attitude that has made the UK have one of the highest rates of deaths in the world.
    Really, silly me.
I thought it was more connected to locking down a couple of weeks later than we should have, discharging patients from Hospitals without testing them for Covid 19 into care Homes and general lack of provision of PPE et al in said homes.
Yes the government got it pretty wrong there, but that does not mean you should ignore the basic advice and do what you want.

Not everyone is furloughed or "flying a desk" at home.

Some of us Key Workers have been out and about for the entire period of lockdown, travelling on trains, planes and automobiles in order to fulfil our responsibilities.

With respect I have been traversing Scotland and England for the entire period so am able to differentiate between sensible advice and the Law.
