Crown Pink to White Paint!

We've just painted our ceiling and coving with the paint that goes on Pink and is supposed to dry white. How long before it goes white? At the moment it's still an off pink colour - 3 hours later!!

Seriously though,the only tips that I have regarding emultion are:

Matt rather than silk to hide an irregular surface.

Try to work in natural light(daylight),...you really can then see where you have "done".
