Crown Pink to White Paint!

We've just painted our ceiling and coving with the paint that goes on Pink and is supposed to dry white.

How long before it goes white? At the moment it's still an off pink colour - 3 hours later!!

I think it should be dry by now? Emulsion normally dries fairly quickly, have you touched it?

I hope it dries okay, when we used this paint it dried to a dirty white, quite grey looking. We ended up doing it again.

    It does feel dry.

Ours looks like cream with a tiny tinge of pink now if you look hard enough:mad: I just googled crown indicoat and there are quite a few complaints about it!!!

I'm really annoyed as we are trying to decorate the whole of our downstairs before Xmas and could do without having to do the ceiling again.

I'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

i used it and the pink went white quite quickly bit of a waster would not get it again.
Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)
  • I have a friend that works for Crown paints and they made some batches that never dried white, perhaps you have one of these?

If it is still not white you better get in touch with crown paints.

  • Well i've checked my ceiling again and in the daylight it looks like an off-white, almost cream. In the evening (i.e now!!) with the lights on it looks a tinge of pink.

I'm getting obsessed with it now!! lol Although I suppose you don't usually spend ages staring at the ceiling do you??? I'll have to see if my OH can be bothered to paint it all over again, otherwise it will have to stay like that.

I would tell the retailer where you bought it, you should have your money refunded. You could also email Crown.

Not only is it annoying, it is a waste of your time.
