I got one of these and it's the best thng I have ever bought.
My hubby drinks endless amounts of tea, and wanted me to buy an urn, but I went for this option and although the tea did taste funny at the beginng, you soon get used to drinking filtered water after a while.
If it breaks or conks out, i'll soon be getting another one.
And for the record, I purchased mine in october and still haven't changed the filter cartridge yet.Raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer UK and Macmillan... doing a sponsored 10k skydive for both charities.

and cheaper (£49 white, £51 stainless steel). The water is hotter (a fraction below boiling point but easily hot enough for tea). I can highly recommend them:

...isn't that missing the point? From the technical info on superkettles' website they pull 45W when on standby. The whole point of the Tefal is you use only the power to heat the cup of water you need.
We've had a Tefal for approx a month...paid £35 (inc VAT) on a voucher deal at Costco. Fantastic. I drink coffee but it's fine for tea; just need to leave it to brew for a minute longer than with a normal kettle.
Only problem is I'm drinking more coffee now as I don't have to wait for the kettle to boil...I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -

I bought mine from costco It seemed like the cheapest place at the time , i love it as I mostly drink herbal teas, not so sure with ordinary tea but like some said just let it diffuse a bit longer . Brillant machine0

We had to return ours as it developed a fault and kept tripping the electric out.
Brought a cheap kettle to replace it as Costco gave us our money back. I was pleased with the one cup when we had it but tea tastes so much better with water boiled in a kettle so we will be sticking with the kettle.0 -
we got one for xmas and got rid of it a few weeks latter, the water isnt boiling by far u cant mash a cup of yea with it0

ohhhh the quick cup rules my tea word... fantastic gadget!! soo quick and easy and looks the part on your worktop too... also you can have cold filtered water at the press of a button if you wish.
as for the "it dosent boil the water" comments, the water that comes out very very hot and makes a perfect cuppa! and i am picky when it comes to tea
also re: the "running costs" the filters can be bought from ebay and they are very cheep, we had a kettle previous that used filters anyway, so no extra spend for us, also you can run it with out the filter if you wish.
if you have a costco card, they are doing them for £35 plus the VAT, also argos had them on offer around xmas time, not sure now tho, also ebay is worth a look for new items.
DON'T get the filters from Ebay, the cheapest I've seen on there is £59.99 + £4.99 P&P for a 12 pack. All the usual stockists sell them for $4.99, so you can buy 13 for less than you would pay for 12.
If you use the filter as recommended, it will cost you 10p/ltr + the cost of electricity.Never Knowingly Understood.
