Anyone bought one? Is it any good and where is the best place to buy. Seen in argos for £59.97 but sure I saw it advertised for £49.99. Can't remember where.

I have one paid £59.99 from Argos when they first came out. I love it, works great and I couldn 't go back to a kettle. TJ' s were selling for £49.99 last week not sure if they still are.

Yes i have one and i like it although it does get mixed reviews. Some people dont think the water is hot enough but i think its ok as i dont like to scold my mouth. I think its just problem with the first cup of water you run off , the second one is a lot hotter. Amazon had it on offer a while ago with a tenner off.

They don't actually boil water.

If you're happy that you're just buying a hot water dispenser, not a kettle that might not be bad, but they cost £100/year to run, because the filter only last a couple of weeks and cost about £6 each. And the only point of filtered boiled water is for tea-making, but tea demands boiling water.

Avoid like the plague.

The best thing I have ever brought! I absolutely love it, the only problem is that I seem to have 10 times more cups of tea a day because it so quick and easy!!
I haven't used a water filter at all so far so no extra cost!!

The filter costs £4 and lasts for 3 months , also this machine does filtered cold water , so not only do you get a hot drink but it saves you buying a Brita or something else for cold water, plus it takes a lot less electricity than a kettle uses!!!

I got mine from Amazon some weeks back now with a tenner off, and its absolutly great, the water does not boil thats true, but being disabled and unable to stand for too long its great for me, press a button and fill up and away. :T

According to the manufacturer, it's 6 weeks, and they cost £5.

So you pay the price of the kettle again every year in filters. So much for saving money.

They had them in Costco last week. I'm sure they were only about £35.00. I remember thinking they were a lot cheaper than I'd seen in Currys etc.

Don’t have one but in Comet at the moment the display has a notice explaining that they do not boil water – by design, looks like they may have had a few enquiries about this aspect.

It says they heat the water to 90 deg C in the machine, to save energy apparently, and guarantee 80 deg C in the cup, and then explains that various tea companies recommend non boiling water for infusion and quotes various times and temperatures for different teas.
