It was long overdue. The request from MSE to only post if it was absolutely essential was very largely ignored by many and the majority of that many were long time members.4

Will be basically pointless me spending time here now, the main board I read and posted on was closed back in March, I find a new home in discussion time and now that closes too!
There was some very handy stats and research being posted in the Covid thread.
Oh well, suppose I will have to become a voyeur of other people's disasters on the other threads now....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.3 -

https://forums.digitalspy.com/categories/general-discussion-forumsWow, a user friendly forum. What a contrast with this MSE shambles! They even have a long running Dominic Cummings thread that didn't need to be deleted every other day.And no lame messages about closing forums because they're busy because of Covid.I registered.

The members that came down from the debate houses and economy board did not learn their lesson and took the arms board down as well, the warnings were there to read for long enough, be nice or get shut.3

I came from the debate board but I have never been obnoxious or eeky. I'm one of those people who will cry if they think they have hurt someone...not all of us on that board were eeky, there were a lot of us who were very nice indeed (plus a lot of the names I saw on DT were not ones that had been familiar on the Debate board)
A lot of us nice ones had somewhere else to go as friends which had been set up some time ago but DT gave the information and debate I crave so much.We made it! A truly shocking decision by MSE and one they will regret making as site usage continues to drop off, even when so many people have so much time to spare. I have posted on DT for many years, but also in other parts of MSE, of late I would say I use MSE 50% less than last year, for me this forum is closing by stealth maybe the new owners have decided to prune ready to sell on, lets hope they don't get their £87 million back.
