Experian direct website and credit club Experian don't match?

Hi all,

I ran an Experian report directly through their website, and my score was "fair". I signed up to the credit club on here, who use Experian, and my score is 999/999. I also downloaded an app from money supermarket and my score is 'very good'.
Why are the two Experian scores different? I have been monitoring them all for a few months and all the same. Any wisdom?

Kind regards

The scores are both made up and not used for anything, so can be safely ignored.

Apparently they can't even get them to be the same across different platforms.

Mines same. But their website one is wrong. Doesnt have quite a few of my credit accounts on it so I just ignore that one and use the credit club one
  • thank you for your comments, still a bit wary regarding the credit club one, my score is 999, and I don't have any credit cards etc... can't be right

Your score isn't anything... It's not actually seen by lenders.

Lenders use their own scoring system using their own criteria along side the raw data in your credit history and data provided on your application form.

There's no such thing as one single credit score for an individual.

Scores exist to the individual and reflect your credit history and creditworthiness- simple as that.

MSE club only access your file once a month as it’s free- you will find most free sites are only taking a snap shot of your credit file at the date of update.
Example - if your update is 8th of each month and for example your score is 888 but goes up 950 the day after then you will only see update on next free site update (8th)

if you want real time view then pay via Experian or Equifax as they are accurate data and not a free third party. Hope this helps

    Wrong, again.

The score doesn’t matter in any way shape or form.

Wrong again as you’ve been told many times the number you see means nothing. No lender uses it.

Just look at the numerous and very recent forum posts that say my score is 999 or excellent and I’ve been declined for a card/loan/mobile contract.

No - don't ever pay for these services - all available free.
    Wrong answer, try again.
