Do you have bills to pay? if so take the job that will pay the bills then find a job later that suits your lifestyle.

    1) You haven't been offered the job yet so I'd go along with the application process. Even if you don't get the job then it is some interview practice.
    2) If you get offered the job then give it a go for a few weeks. you never know you might like it and even if you don't then it's extra money while you look for something better.
    3) Have you thought about any behavioural therapy about your eating habits as they do seem a bit strange. There aren't many full time jobs these days where you can be guaranteed to be out of the office and home by 5pm.

Surely your evening can be exactly the same
length regardless of eating times, you can just go to bed later as you will need to get up later than if you needed to be at work for 7am?

here have been a lot of posts on here with some questionable reasons to not take a job, but this is possibly the weakest so far.
If you have enough savings that you don’t need to claim benefits, then be as choosy as you want, it’s completely your choice, but if you are planning on claiming benefits then I think that you need to pull yourself together, act like a grown-up, and don’t put your dinner time ahead of standing on your own two feet. Benefits are not there to let you sit down to eat in the late afternoon.

Have your main meal at lunchtime and if necessary taken a packed meal to work and eat it on the way home.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

I think that’s a bit harsh. It seems like the OP has some sort of mental illness and needs some support.

OP, I would seek professional help to try and help you with this. Nothing you have said here sounds like a good way to live and if you genuinely can’t eat at 7pm or later without feeling this level of anxiety you need to seek professional help.

That's what I would take from the OP too.  The problem isn't with the type of employer or type of employment, it is specifically about the hours they are required to work and the effect anything which changes their routine has on their mental state.

Pretty sure there are elements of OCD here. Habits and routines are difficult to break even for the best of reasons. I see why the OP has problems with the length of the working day as well (never mind the stress of the actual work). You can easily feel cheated out of your leisure/personnel time if the work times are out of sync with your priorities and interests and the lives of family/friends.
