HI I dropped my matternity allowance return letter in a red postbox wondering if it will be delivered? Did I had to go to post office to post it?

Address is

Wrexham Maternity Allowance
Mail Handling Site A
Wolverhampton
WV98 1SU

It has no return address.
What happens with unpaid letters?
I'm afraid now it won't get delivered!

Help appreciated!
Also sent one to nationwide business reply which I guess is free?

Looks perfectly normal to me and it should be received at DWP within the next couple of weeks.

If it was a pre paid envelope it’s fine.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

I'm not sure...it came with a brown envelope already with the address I mentioned written already on it.
Is that gonna be a issue?

It depends whether or not it was prepaid or required you to put a stamp on it. It would be clear by looking at the envelope - I don’t know whether MA envelopes are prepaid or not.

In the several years and more that i've claimed benefits, when returning forms to DWP the postage is usually prepaid. Although, i never just "put it in a post box" usually i take it to a post office and ask for proof of posting. This way you have proof that it's at least been posted, if it gets lost.
I'd leave it a couple of weeks and then ring DWP to ask if it's been received.

Well then I guess Tomorrow morning i have to wait for the postman to come collect it and ask him if I can have my mail back if we find it !

Really? why would you want to do that? I'm not sure the postman will be able to give you that letter because in reality you could actually be anyone.

Well it is a very important letter regarding starting matternity allowance after paying national insurance to hmrc.
    Hope I didn't screw it.
