Tell them unless you are fully refunded the amount you paid you will raise a Chargeback stating non supply of service and also stating Jetline is refusing to refund in accordance to the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements 2018.
This will cost Jetline more than if they refund it themselves

Just got off the phone to Jetline and we now been promised ATOL protected vouchers to the full refundable total, which we have got them to email us, the ATOL part, if anything else goes wrong.
Not agreed to these terms as of yet, but the whole industry is in trouble, so we feel this is the best option for everyone.

Just a work of warning, the RCN isn't certain to be protected.

"Don’t accept a refund credit note. Even if they are Atol protected, which is by no means assured, getting your money back if the company issuing the note goes bust is likely to be time consuming and potentially costly."

    Ok Cheers
They will be chasing me for an answer, so we will chase the cash refund.
    Keep you posted.
  • Hi
Has been a few months now and just received this email.

Thank you for contacting Bargain Late Holidays.

I have checked with the suppliers and my higher authorities, and £***i.e. full credit voucher is the best we can offer in this case.

We understand your concerns but are unable to provide full refund or credit vouchers as we ourselves are not being offered the same by the suppliers.

We can offer you what we get from our suppliers and the airline. Also, any unrecoverable costs can be claimed through your travel insurance.

Please be advised that the reason that your suppliers have not delivered the services is not because they chose to cancel the, but because worldwide governments' travel restrictions have prevented them from doing so.

Your holiday did not go ahead because of Force Majeure and for no other reason, and this is an insurable risk. Insurers will not pay for any elements that can be recovered by any other means, airline credit, future travel voucher, etc. but only for unrecoverable elements.

We do apologize for any inconvenience caused to you and request you to claim the unrecoverable amount through your travel insurance.

Should you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Just making sure, this would be ATOL protected and if it would be best to accept the voucher or still chase a full cash refund?
    Cheers

This has nothing to do with ATOL and you have no financial or complaint recourse taking that route. The question was posed earlier in the thread to establish if you had a package arrangement. Having an ATOL certificate is the giveaway.

Your options really come down to challenging Bargain Late Holidays through the U.K. legal system arguing their responsibility under the Package Travel Regulations or accepting the credit being offered.  A Refund Credit Note (RCN) being more favourable as they can be cashed in at a point in time if not used.
  • Thank you
As these are unprecedented times and after checking these are RCN I am leaning towards accepting.
