I have just got Mobile Broadband from Three to replace BT in my home which over many months has given a very slow service and no hope of it improving soon.

I have Kaspersky anti virus installed is there any more security I need?

Are there any concerns doing purchases and online banking over mobile broadband?

No.  No different to home Wifi or the appropriate banking app.

Wifi security as in strong password etc .

I have similar problems, change your router settings to use 3G only, it improved my response times and download speed from 5Mbps to 10-20Mbps.

Using a mobile broadband dongle is probably safer than using a wifi router because the dongle is plugged directly into your laptop, unlike wifi which can be hacked into. If you have Kaspersky you should be fine security wise. Just remember to log out of your online accounts like webmail when you have finished.
