My average spending is £300 ish but the limit was handy for renting abroad, now this new limit is a bit short 😔adamp87 said:
Just reducing risk in a time of economic uncertainty. If you aren’t really using it then there’s no harm for them in reducing it, and stopping you for example going out tomorrow and putting it to the max.Mr_ML said:Aqua increased my limit 3 times but today aqua has decreased my limit from £2250 to £1500, I have never paid any interest 😕 so I don't know why they have done this
not saying that’s what would happen but it’s common with lenders at the moment0 -
Why would you apply for a Santander card that has no rewards? The rate is irrelevant. Unless you aren't able to clear your balance every month... which would suggest you aren't living in your means. And that will be why your limit has been cut, not because you stopped using it.suki1964 said:

Yeah i got mine in Jan but havent had anything and everytime i request one via the app (not messaged them), it literally says that i cant.. its beyond frustrating. Maybe i should just not use it anymore and hope they up it. Its all paid off and usually paid off on time so i cant quite understand why..Life__Goes__On said:I had the Tandem Cashback card got a Aqua Cashback in Late Jan (limit £1200), hardly used in Jan/Feb (£62) Mar was £700, start of April limit raised (unrequested) to £2450
Always pay full balance each month.
I applied for one two years ago. I used to use it weekly for the shopping and petrol and paid off in full each month, then I applied to Santander for a better rate one, stopped using the Aqua, maybe just once a month, and they cut me from £3k to £1k0 -
I know Vanquis have suspended all limit increases during Covid, don't know if that applies to Aqua too.0
