Dust in phone screen AND charging times for N95 8 GIG
Hi guys
I have a weird problem. My Motorola V3 seems to hold dust behind the screen. I don't know how it gets in as I would have thought it's all sealed off. It's very obvious it's dust.
I've just got a new N95 8 GIG and scared the same thing is going to happen! Has anyone experienced this strange (and annoying) problem? What did you do about it?
Also, what is the optimal inital charging time for a new N95 8 GIG battery (battery is slightly more powerful than the original N95).
Thanks for your help!

I also got dust behind the screen of my V3.
Unfortunately, I can't help as I upgraded recently without bothering to fix it.
I previously had an Alcatel 525 which also got dust and I sorted that by taking it to bits!"Beer. Now there's a temporary solution." Homer (Simpson)0 -
My understanding is that there is no screen in front of LCD on Nokia so nowhere for dust to gather. On the other hand, LCD can be more easily damaged because of no protection.
I used to have a Orange C500 which is a great dust collector:-( After switching to N95, I no longer have the problem.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -
I wondered if it was my room which can get particulary dusty but then again it's happened in 3 different countries always with the same phone models!
So I'm more inclined to think it's the model of phone, or perhaps the components (like you mentioned, with Nokia having no protector screen therefore nowhere for dust to gather yet other phones may be not be the case).
Anyone else had the same problem?0 -
