installing game on laptop problems

now when i load up the game it doesnt ask for a disk but it tries to load i get a grey start up screen like it shows on my dads but then i get a black box saying this if anyone understands it

You said you downloaded the game patch, have you actually installed it?
Have you installed latest direct x and latest graphics driver yet?

i have just applied the new patch, i have direct x 10, i cant find any graphics driver

i just downloaded a graphic driver but it would load on my comp, is there a certain name i need to look for?

Are you sure you downloaded the right one? What does it say under "Display Adapter" when you go to device manager (right click my computer, properties, hardware)?

Do you know specifically what laptop it is, so we can tell what graphics it's meant to have. If yougamers can't determine what it is, it may just be onboard graphics and it probably won't be able to play any modern game.
