installing game on laptop problems

im not sure where to post this so please move it if its in the wrong place, i bought medal of honor allied assault and call of duty 4, well i have tried to install them on my compter which goes ok but when i click on the icon to play all i keep getting is (please insert the correct cd-rom, select ok and restart application) but i have the right disk in there anyone got any ideas? my dad copied my cd to see if it would work on his computer and it worked fine.
i forgot to say im using windows vista home edition

it says the first one is Windows XP , try tunning in compatability mode by right clicking on the icon

Unless your laptop cost the thick end of £2000, it's not going to meet the specs for the graphics card.

well it says it can play medal of honor it installs it ok but just says enter right disk when i click play

Have you got latest graphics card drivers and game patch?

i havnt downloaded any graphic card drivers, i have downloaded patch 1.11

Make sure that patch is installed and go ahead and get latest graphics driver and latest direct x from microsoft.
