I am asking for a friend who is trying to record items for our Church facebook page, we manage using iMovie, put the video onto YouTube and post the link onto the Church Facebook page.
This friend cannot export, either to Youtube or to my email, videos as they are too big.
She has an HP laptop Windows 10, microsoft 365.
Is there a simple app or program she can use?

Thanks for answering but what I am asking for is a program/app that will record and then compress ready to post on YouTube that is EASY to use.
She has an HP laptop Windows 10.0 -
@knightstyle that was a tad unfair response! 🙂You asked for two things recording, and upload both easy. That 'how to' video shows (on one program) how to upload and includes setting resolution and thus file upload size. True it does not cover recording, or for that matter how to deal with sound and edit to produce a presentable video. All programs need to do similar things. There are typically some things that individuals need to do so various people might not find them easy. Several programs are much more complicated. If the lady will find that upload too complicated but you do not it might be best to share the video with you via a cloud based file share such as Gdrive, One Drive etc so you can work on it and 'process' it?That will still leave the simple but thought of as not EASY activity of tecording the video in the first place!....but she is already recording video! What with how which app is being used. That same recording technique might reduce the level of learning required....and many cope with uploads too!0

She can upload the video to you via a file hosting website, such as https://mega.nz or even Google Drive.
You can then process the video in the usual way.1 -
Sorry the problem is that when she tries to upload the video to anywhere she gets a message saying the file is too big.
She needs something like iMovie that I use on my Macbook that records and then 'compresses' or does something so it can be uploaded.0 -
Are you sure it is due to the file size being too big, and not just that the video is too long? Youtube only supports 15 minute videos unless you get your account verified https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/71673?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en-GB
If it is not this, how big is the video file? There are many programs to compress a video file.0 -

Perhaps you can tell us the size of the file and we can tell you which FileHoster will allow that file size.0 -
If she wishes to process the video herself, she can use Windows 10's own Video Editor:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edKDxJ7C8HE
or if she prefers to read: https://turbofuture.com/graphic-design-video/Free-Windows-10-Video-Editor
Once completed, she can choose to "Share & Export" to choose the file size and subsequently upload it to YouTube.1 -
Thanks, i don't know the size, usually we record about 40 mins video, she is not very technical, and as we are both classed as vulnerable I am trying to help from a distance.
I can't try stuff as we only have Apple stuff.
Thanks TheRightOne I will send that to her and see if she can do it.
