Any idea how to lubricate and clean double glazing windows hinge?

standard wd40 is not a lubricant it is a moisture repellent as suggested above silicone, ptfe ,grafite best are sprays and only a fine mist . Do not use spray grease as suggested unless its grafite because it will attract debris which will cause any mechanism to deteriorateif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction1

Just wanted to say thanks - I've been wondering the same about our windows for a little while, and just hadn't got around to putting WD40 on them - glad I kept forgetting now!0

I use 3-in-1 because it's a light oil and a film of it should stay in place for some time, where as WD40 is quite volatile and evaporates off quickly.0
