Just received my Waitrose delivery and had a quick chat with the driver. I commented on how early he was (2 minutes before slot but I am, definitely, not complaining) and how early my email notification was from the picker (6 am). He said they have now got another van (3 instead of 2) and they are working longer hours delivering

Think home delivery is here to stay.

Especially with the introduction of face coverings when shopping.

I am asthmatic and I do my weekly shop at Lidl. Problems will be not with the staff, is the customers that are in the store at the same time as me. Either giving dodgy looks or ask me where is my mask. Ordered wristbands - which came today and some badges with asthmatic on them. Also will be carrying all my inhalers - including my preventer and spacer. I can wear a covering or mask for a max of 15 mins at the moment as breathing isn't wonderful at the moment.

Would love to do online shopping but these are my problems:
. I live alone and most weeks I spend well less than the minimum spend (usually £40)
. When on those times when I do spend over £40, there's not the slots available for me at times I want - they seem to be when I am at work
Both Morrisons online https://groceries.store.morrisons.com/ and Iceland https://www.iceland.co.uk/store-finder have a £25 minimum spend but you pay for delivery.
Keep getting e-mails from Iceland for priority delivery! I have no idea why as only one order with them almost two years ago when I had surgery and not had a shielding letter. I can only get the priority booking if I log in between times stated on the e-mal which I miss either as at work or completely escapes my mind.
You can log in and book at any time, have you tried? I get those emails as well and I have had a few deliveries and never booked the slot during the priority window.

Not Necessarily. Looking to resume deliveries following the announcement of the government's mandatory muzzle programme, I've just booked a free delivery with Morrisons for the end of the month with the same minimum charge. It's worth searchng these delivery slots thoroughly as sometimes you can find useful anomalies.
Absolutely. Have found £1 ASDA slots & 50p Sainsburys slots for delivery. Have you considered ASDA Click n collect? Contactless if on a drive-thru ASDA (website will tell you) & £25 min spend.

Just seen this online this morning. Waitrose commissioned a report on online shopping.
