Leaving Three - when exactly can I? PAC request question.

Options
Hi guys,
Right, so I'm leaving Three... My minimum contract is up on the 26/09/20. I get billed on the 4th of each month and the money is usually taken on or around the 24th of each month. Latest 25th, never the 26th. I'm not sure, how do Three bill - a month in advance? I basically don't want to give Three a penny more than I have to :)
What would you recommend my PAC request date be? I'm moving to Vodafone, who in my recent experience, are porting numbers within 48/72 hours.
Thanks.

Personally I would request the PAC on the 27/8 and use it around 24/9 so its not too close to the next weekend.

Excellent! And presumably that would stop me from paying another month? As I understand it, billing stops as soon as they receive confirmation from the new network that you've ported across?

With any provider you'll always get a final bill (which could be zero or negative) for any unbilled usage since your last bill PLUS pro-rated line rental (ie line rental up to the end of your minimum period LESS any period you've already paid for)

The situation would be slightly different if you were to port outside the minimum period.

Incidentally, check this final bill as if you are in credit you'll often need to ask for the refund.
