WHERE Are The Pillars Of The MSE Comping Community!?!?!

Hi All

What made this the best competition forum, in the entire world, was it's members, with the DIRE changes to forum layout, plus covid19, it seems to of split & divided the entire collective, from this site, to at least 3 i know of, some of which, I'd never envisioned ever stop posting or leaving.

Although not an active poster, i was always humbled by all the effort certain individuals put in, taking time & effort helping others entering / changing lives.

IMO these, were & are / have been to my knowledge some the biggest contributors to this site, can we please confirm if they're still with us & if at all anything we can do to entice them back:

(Apologies if you've been left off the list, i appreciate each & every single one of you)

I have been loyal for as long as i can remember, but even I've noticed a huge fall in posts, drop in wins, which has even led me to consider alternatives (i stuck with the new set-up even though i loathed it for a fair few weeks) so believe me, it's not something i would do lightly, i feel as if we need to go straight to MARTIN LEIWS (via TWITTER?) to let him know we have not resolved issues, unhappy etc. in vein hope he can come to realise he's loosing us all.

Thanks for listening, happy to hear everyones thoughts, i have a feeling this view is very much shared by the MSE Competitions as a whole.

I am still here and posting but find there are far fewer comps around at the present time.
Firefly still visits but rarely posts due to personal circumstances.
glad is a very active BG but never did post comps.
morningpostie is posting on Loquax.
Lakshmi7 is just not happy posting here any more. She tried Loquax but, seemingly, wasn't happy there either.

Most of the rest of the list do seem to still be around and posting but not necessarily happy.

I'm still here, although not in the same league as One-Eye, Jambo and Laks.  Other good posters I miss off the top of my head are Hertzybazas, MaineBlue and BikerChick, along with anyone who takes on the weekly/monthly mags.   

Misslayed

At least one person on that list is a front line NHS worker, so occupied elsewhere in the last few weeks

Yes, I'd love to add Hertzybazas, MaineBlue and BikerChick to the list of amazing contributors, I couldn't remember every single one.....i'm sure there are many, many more, please comment if you want to nominate a fellow pillar.

I know there is talk of another making our own forum, i honestly hope it doesn't come to that, but just a quick look at the other competition sites worries me somewhat that MSE is very much lacking in entries, we're loosing / missing out on viable entries.

I do hope members reply with their take on situation.

For me the problem is that so many comps now are on social media and I am not keen on them - have had very very little success with TW and Facebook and do very few on Instagram.  Im hoping that eventually the form based ones will pick up as I just skip so many otherwise (Maybe I am just an old fogey ) There are just not as many to post 😒 
I dont mind the new forum style - have got used to it but miss some features of the old one as everyone does.
For the moment it passes the time in lockdown so I am here and will post as I find comps but to be honest the shine has gone off comping for me and I have been considering a break.
A few wins might change how I feel 😉 but for me they have been few and far between

I am still here.

I must be one of the few who doesn't mind the new forum. I have recently signed up to Loquax, I also signed up to Competition Database, before the forum was updated, but I tend to post on MSE more. I have not posted on Loquax, and I think I have posted on Competition Database 2 or 3 times. I just find MSE neater, cleaner and easier to navigate. When I first started out the only site I used to use was The Prize Finder before I came across MSE, but I cant remember the last time I visited The Prize Finder.

I have no intention of leaving MSE, there just does not seem to be many competitions around at the moment, the ones I come across are either for USA or other countries or look to spammy or dodgy to post.

I'm still here but just dipping in every now and then.
I'm using CD as my main source of comps at the moment. Banned from Loquax many moons ago so don't use there.
I'd already taken my foot of the gas with regards to posting comps but I'm a key worker for the NHS (not frontline) and home schooling at the same time so I'm frazzled by 3pm 

Sure I'll get back into the habit of posting once/if the issues on here get ironed out as there's plenty of comps out there

Sometimes life gets in the way of our great hobby.
I used to post a lot of comps, but then, I used to win a lot more in those heady days of 7-10 years ago. Decent prizes too. Very few such comps about now, maybe the radio comps, not the multiple entry ones, things like Tech bundles on Heart etc.  Some of the compers I 'Met' here have become friends and we've met in real life. Only yesterday I was laughing with another comper in a Facebook chat about the fun we had.  (For those who may remember, it involved a Facebook competition for a new bed. I'm saying no more... ) Not to mention the heady days of DTD on the Grabbit forum 
Like many others, there have been a great many changes in my life during that time. Some absolutely c@rp and some brilliant - and everywhere in between. The time we have available to both post and enter comps changes too.
Throughout these life changes, I remained loyal to MSE and since the recent changes have tried very hard to stick around. I've found it very difficult and with no indication of when / if our concerns will be addressed, I've looked elsewhere and found a way of comping that works for me. 
I still visit MSE, sometimes for answers, to check chat or if there have been any updates. I may even have posted the odd competition, but nothing like those days where I could spend a whole morning and half the afternoon posting. Even with all the extra potential comping time that lockdown has brought, I've done less because the sun has been shining so much, so the outdoors beckons...
P.S. My mind is boggling that you were banned from Loquax, Hertzyabas :O ! (And hats off to you for still popping in with all you're dealing with  )

I'm not on the list but I was posting daily Twitter comps through lockdown. I've now started a new job and got a kitten so struggling to find time to enter, let alone post. 
Shame tho as I love posting!
