Worked fine for me too :) Easy to fill in, quick e-mail to request verification and everything worked.

I signed up no problem - a little bit fiddly with AOL but pretty straight forward.

Good luck with your petition; I think it is a great idea.

It did take me a while to figure out why my 4 year old asked me "Are we homeowners?"!

I used mozilla and had no problems with the link or replying and the counter moved on between my replying and checking the total had changed.

Edit forgot to mention I got the email confirmation OK as well. I agree with Lazydaisy's point below I didn't sign as a parent as my children are in their 40's but my concerns for my grandchildren being exposed to a constant diet of adverts normalising indebtedness are probably more valid than many parents as Grandparents generally have more time available for daytime television viewing which many working parents may not have time/opportunity to view.

Sorry to be pernickety (sp?) but I think the question should be 'are you a parent of a school-age child' or something similar.

I am a parent and checked the 'yes' box without thinking.... it was a split second after sending that I realised what I'd done .... see my 'little boy' is 32! Oh well, I have grandchildren so I still count, sort of....

    I guess there's always one :D

To be honest Lazy Daisy, its only for stats purposes, it doesn't really make any difference
