Really simple discount on Avis and Budget car rentals

As simple as it comes if you are a BAEC (British Airways Executive Club) member.

If not, become a member by enrolling here. Its free and your membership starts straight away. You start as a "Blue" member.

Then go to the car rental page for BAEC members

Put in your rental details and be sure to select BA Executive Blue as your customer type. (you don't get any better discount by selecting any other membership level)

Hit the button and see what the prices are like for you.

On my next big trip, Avis were already the cheapest and by using this method, I've just cleaved another 15% off the price.

As ever, hunt around to see if the Avis/Budget deal can be bettered with other providers, but if Avis or Budget were your original choice, the Happy Days.

Another bonus is that BAEC Members get a free additional driver on AVIS rentals (not on Budget rentals though).  Sometimes Avis need reminding of this - they've tried to charge me on more than one occasion!

Just checked for next April and BA are the same or £5 to £10 cheaper depending on car size than my normal go to, Alamo Brits, who also give you a free additional driver

FWIW BA do not do rentals for more than 28 days unless you are renting in the USA.
