Its always advisable to at least engage with them first. Your problem is that you have chosen to buy the flights through a third party.wizzywig27 said:
I have, I spoke to them on chat three weeks ago and they insist my flight is still happening from Manchester. They don’t even know about the cancellation and subsequent change. That in my eyes means they are unwilling to help even though I’ve made them aware.bradders1983 said:ATOL only applies it a company goes bust, irrelevant at the moment. As is chargeback until you have attempted to deal with it with the company first.
I also read that chargeback does not insist to speak to the supplier first?0 -
Better to start your own thread, but, in brief, yes, EU regs apply if the flight originates within the EU, which you haven't specified, but I assume it does. Send them a formal request quoting EU 261/2004, if still no joy, then I would suggest you start a chargeback with your card provider (assuming a debit or credit card was used).Olddear1105 said:Please can you help My flight to toronto has been cancelled by the canadian airline they are refusing to refund me only offering me a voucher which i do not need. what would be my next step to take. Are they governed by the Civil avaition rules regarding EU flights

But regardless who I paid the money too, the contract has been broken due to the cancelled flight? I am unsure why it makes it more difficult booking through third party. At the moment I am not considering S75 just a chargebackbradders1983 said:

It makes it more difficult as you have a middleman to now deal with who are equally as snowed under as the company they sourced the flights from. As you are now finding out for yourself.0
