Try downloading with another browser,ie Firefox.
I know Domestos kills 99% of germs, but I'm worried about the 1% that got away.

CCleaner receives less enthusiasm, now that we're past Windows XP.
Quite why anyone would want to use it on a Mac, I cannot imagine!

I had the same problem.  Once I had completed the latest OS update I found that CCleaner is no longer compatible with iOS.  In order to maintain my mac I have removed both Malwarebytes and CCleaner and replaced them with CleanMyMac.  Wish I had done so years ago as the difference is huge.  Cleaner and faster mac running quieter and quicker.  First scan took nearly 2 hours but subsequent scans take less than 15 minutes.  Highly recommended.

Two hours?? Is that with an SSD?
    Fifteen minutes is too much.

What makes you think that you need to "remove unused items" and to "reduce clutter" on your Macbook?  Have you not got gigabytes of unused disk space?
