Looking at options for parents to switch from EON but they have had a smart meter installed.

They are currently on EON Energy Plan

Would the fact that they have a Smart Meter prevent them from switching elsewhere - Igloo comes up as the top pick when analysed.
Thanks in advance for any help

Makes no difference - Smart or not.
Go for what you think is the best - have a look at the reviews.
The Smartness may or may not be OK with the new supplier - take  manual readings and do you own sums.

Nope.  You may be rejected by Shell if you already have smart meters !

If I recall correctly, it is not that Shell will reject customers with smart meters, it is that they will not accept them onto their cheapest tariff, that is reserved for those who do not yet have smart meters.
So you can still switch to Shell, just not on a great tariff...
