I am a British citizen but am non-resident in the UK. As I have more than 85,000 in savings in the UK, how can I spread my UK savings among different banks to overcome the 85,000 FCS cap from each bank in the event of bank collapse? Most UK banks won't open an account for me because I live outside the UK. Is there a soution? Any thoughts?
