Hi,
I'd really like to book a holiday to Lanarote, October 15th (Jet2).
Do you think we'll be allowed to travel by then? I'm not sure what to do now.
Thanku!

Personally I'd be waiting until travel restrictions and quarantine regulations have been relaxed.2

No one is going to be able to answer your question. You could book and there might be a second wave and restrictions tighten, who knows. If you wish to book and risk it being cancelled then go for it.

If the number of cases continues to decrease throughout Europe then it may well be possible to travel by October. The problem is than nobody can predict what will happen in the next few weeks following the idiots with the mass gatherings in major cities. It's entirely possible that there will be second spike due to that and tighter lockdown. It's all pure guesswork.

I have a holiday for Lanzarote in October booked well before the current pandemic. I have some optimism that it may be possible to travel but also trepidation as to whether it’s safe. The balance of the holiday needs to be paid in a month or so, at which point I will have to make a decision. Heart says go but head says, no!1

I believe it'll be safe - however no one knows for sure. There could be a steady decline in cases meaning life is much more 'normal' then - or it could suddenly mutate, leading to another lockdown and a further crisis.
It's just too hard to say with any confidence - I'm booked for New York in September, and while I am hopeful it'll go ahead I just can't see it happening.1 -
How do the airlines plan to safeguard passengers on aircraft ?Confined in close proximity for several hours - how is that going to work in practice ?0

At present it is still hard but hopefully by September or October the incidence rates of COVID-19 will have diminished to such a low level that the risk would be equivalent to catching any disease from a fellow passenger.NoodleDoodleMan said:How do the airlines plan to safeguard passengers on aircraft ?Confined in close proximity for several hours - how is that going to work in practice ?0 -
