So I renewed my car tax but it's still showing as due??

So I renewed my car tax but it's still showing as due??
Is the DVLA living in the stone age so that updates are not made until they pay £625276252763627389499 to a spotty faced 16 year old to get it off need some time next year to press one of the buttons?

    ...and how did you renew?

    If online, did you google and use the first "sponsored link" that you saw? Or did you make sure you used the correct site?

    Taxed mine on 29 May through .gov and it showed up as taxed until 2021 the same day.

    Can take a few days to update
    No doubt the website is updated in batches
