Been self employed on the CIS for 1 year paid tax and NI for 19/20 surely because this is a total government backed scheme new self employed should get a look at as it’s a rebate situation I or we are in after paying tax and NI 2 and 4 contribution is there anyone out there fighting for our corner

It is not clear what you are actually asking.0

The government has said it will not consider 2019/20 because the SEISS was announced before that tax year ended, and therefore the results could be manipulated. You need to consider universal credit, although if you are already claiming tax credits, be aware a claim for universal credit would stop your tax credits forever.
Have you submitted your 2019/20 tax return to get your refund, if one is due? There should be more work around for you now.0 -

I can see why, it'd be open to far too much abuse.
It's one thing getting a rebate by twiddling the numbers, but the potential for fraud is massive when you just have to skew the numbers slightly to get £10,000 or more in cash.
Sorry, but the Gov are right on this one. For the record I am also self employed, and I am entitled to zero help.0
