    I remember those days too especially when my mortgage was 15% apr :s

    When my mortgage was 15% I did not have any money to save.  Now I have look at the int rate.

    Yeah and I bet inflation was higher then and your wage increase was better - look at it now.

    I guess they think we should all be grateful of such 'lucrative' rates, ahead of the negative rates that are being spoken about!  Nobody will want to keep money in a bank soon :)
