    My condolences too.
    Fully agree, get several copies of the death certificate (think we got 10 for my father) this should be more than you need but means you can get things moving asap plus are cheaper when acquired atbonce than if you have to go backnand get copies.
    Also wyen speaking to any institution, ask to speak to the bereavement team, they are far better at dealing with things outside the standard norms particularly if you end up crying down the phone.
    It is hard but it is also better to get things done now as helps keep your mind busy. Don't worry if you forget something or find other things further down the line when going through stuff.
    Also if you are not certain if an account has been closed or not, ask the company, again the berevement team will be used to this.
