Vodafone SIM deal

Hi
I have been trying to speak to a human rather than a digital robot for the last few days without success to discuss the SIM deal I was offered earlier this year.  The deal that I was offered was a £10:50 a month with -£5 discount.  I'm currently being charged £15.50 every month on a SIM contract and I'm not sure if this is right? Is the discount only for that one month?

Text message:  Hello your first bill comes to £10:50 and is due on 4/04/20.
Text 30/03/20: Hello just a heads up that your first bill will be slightly higher that your expecting but don't worry its only the first month which turned out to be £15:50 - I've not gone over on my data.

I normally had a phone contract with VF but decided to switch to a SIM contract with the same people but am having difficulty understanding what's going on with it.
It says head over to Vodafone chat to speak with one of our expert advisors when you do it turns out its that digital robot again which doesn't understand your question.

I have to say I am with Talk Talk broadband and they have a chat facility.  I had a problem with them promising a reduction in a bill when I rolled over with them only to find it hoiked up by £8. The agent on the chat facility sorted it out right away.  But Vodafone well I'm sorry its a poor show hiding behind that digital robot sending you round and round in circles or maybe I'm just not asking the right questions.

Is the contract a rolling 30 day one or for longer period?
Reason for asking if only 30 days vote with your wallet & move if you find a similar or better deal

You don't mention which "deal" is being paid for. i.e. what allowances you have in the "contract".
If you did, then others might be able to offer some answers.
Are you 100% sure the data allowance is not being breached?
Are you still being billed for a phone contract rather than s.i.m. only?

it's a longer sim contract. No I've got 6 months unlimited data offer being nhs. I only went over by 35p one time when I did a long text. All I know is I thought I was signing up to a 5GB £10.50 a month contract. When I was telephoned by an agent who said this would be a contract and I okayed it I thought money would be taken by DD but it isnt I get asked to pay each month which is why I need to speak to a human and not a digital robot to determine exactly what I've agreed to. Apologies if I wasn't clear because I don't understand any of it either.
