Thanks @Baileys_Babe will try and sort her out today though it seems she went to sleep at 6.30 after watching TV all night
The weather is horrible here today so worried about the bunnies being soggy outside as some seepage seems to be getting in around the bottom of their hutch.
First day at school for my son today, I feel nervous and I am going to miss him after 6 months at home.
Filled in my UC claim this morning it will be less this month as I had some overtime paid.
Once thats paid I need to top up my Help to Save Account and pay money into the Christmas pot which is still much lower than I'd like it to be at this point though I have done some small present shopping.
Paypa@l still haven't cashed my cheque payment I've tried ringing and I've sent them a message but no joy.
Right off to pack lunchbox now
    Have a good day

  • I hope your dd makes progress with her room today. When my dd's gets out of control I give her a section she needs to deal with that day or a type of thing to deal with, clothes are usually a big problem for my dd.

Finally got hold of PayP@l they said they are working in my account and any fees will be refunded, the cheque still hasn’t cleared today it’s been almost a month and the next one is paid to them on Monday - think I am going to have to ignore Payp@l so it doesn’t stress me out

UC will be paid on the 10th it’s £230 less than last month - we are going to be tight on groceries this month but hoping to save with the kids back in school as they won’t be snacking all day

No news on my potential pay rise

will try and list a few things on FB Marketplace on the weekend, but I’m catering a birthday party on Sunday - friend is paying me to do it for her so a bit of extra income.

Forgot to add work have told us that we definitely aren’t going to be back in the office before November which is sad in one way because I do miss the office but great in lots of other ways - no travel costs, no lunch costs, no work meeting coffee costs etc when we move back I will have to commute for an hour as my office is moving location, it was based 15 mins away on a bicycle so the commute, unless they help us with costs is going to be £1k per year

    Morning
My debt has fallen from the £29ks to the £28ks today and I feel really good about it :) by Christmas I will be in the £26ks hopefully, one of my creditors said they will be adding interest and charges soon which may affect that.
We are visiting family today, we haven't been for weeks so it will be nice to visit though my dad is still shielding and my son went back to school this week so we can just see them outside for a little while.

Before that I need to do some small things:
hang towels out on the line
    clean the bathroom
    do the dishes
prep a meal for dinner so I don't have to do it when I get back from long day out

    Morning,
Got all of my chores done yesterday and went to visit the family my dad was good though he is waiting for an x-ray to see if he broke his shoulder when he fell in hospital in May, he is in a lot of pain but is otherwise recovering well from his April surgery.
My mother in law is a different story, she found out during lockdown that she has lung cancer she hasn't told us the details but she also has another very serious illness that is quite rare and has left her extremely weak, the hospital have told her that any treatment they could offer her for the cancer would likely kill her so she's decided to opt for no treatment and will just live it out for as long as she can. So sad! and she won't accept any help at home the house is chaos and she's struggling.
Today, I am doing a buffet for my friend for a birthday at home and she is giving me cash for helping. I bought a few bits in ALDI yesterday but the kids were like vultures and ate most of it so might need to pop in for some veg today to make a roast dinner, that'll fill them up.
I need to do a good top to bottom hoover of the house and another load of dishes I will then probably give the fridge a good clean and sort out and that'll be the weekend over :(

  • I've just had a nosey on your thread and just came across your last post.

I'm deeply sorry to hear about your MIL. I'm sending all my love and support to your all.

For now, focus on your MIL as I know this will be mentally, emotionally and physically draining to all and remember, you're not on your own, you've the support from all at MSE.

I wish you all the best throughout your journey X

Thank you @1992saving my biggest worry is my husband, he already has depression but seems to be coping so well with the situation. I am concerned that as she starts to become more ill that he will spiral downwards, last time he had a breakdown he didn't come out to the bedroom for 6 months. I am hoping that because she has accepted the situation that he will too and that although he will be grief stricken that he will know she did what she wanted to.
    Thank you for your support

    Morning,
Yesterday I did the buffet for my friend and she gave me £100 cash so thats gone in the xmas fund. I also managed to clean the fridge, pick up some groceries, did a couple of loads of washing and cleaned out the bunnies.
I met a friend for breakfast yesterday too, haven't seen her in person for 6 months that was lovely.
When I went to MIL's on the weekend she said she could only eat soup and it all tasted horrible so I've batch cooked her a load (butternut & red lentil and parsnip, apple & potato) and I've made up a few jars of overnight oats and hubby is going to drop them over to her to put in the fridge/freezer.
Back to work today, but I still feel that I haven't done everything I could have, I am very disappointed that I haven't had time to finish my book for book club tomorrow, it was delayed delivery and I only had 5 days to read it :(
Off now to chase out a cheeky fly and get my son ready for school at least its not raining for the drop off today :)

Good news this morning that my water bill is going down by £13 a month from November, we are on a meter and it takes ages for them to sort out changes I’m imagining that this is the result of my eldest going to Uni and is using less water now as nothing else has changed in the last few years
