Hi everyone.
Earlier this year I purchased the Samsung S10+. I insured it the same day it arrived (paid in full).

I have those reclining sofas and about an hour ago my phone fell between the gap.  I got up to retrieve the phone and as I was reclined, I had to push the footstool bit down to get up. I Then heard a heart wrenching crunch and retrieved my phone.

I have smashed the back of my phone. And slightly damaged the bezzle.
Whilst I am covered for accidental damage I want to know whether it's worth making a claim. The screen and the phone works fine but as it's a new phone I would like it. repaired. I have never made a claim like this before.
Would they repair it even if the phone is functional?

Thanks

Depends on the insurance T&C's.  I'd expect most companies to issue you with a refurb the same age/condition as you phone.

Even if the phone works fine? Damage is cosmetic really

From a company point of view it's far cheaper to replace and than to repair.
You'd need to check with the company or read the T&C's for the policy.
