  • Please stay away from them. This was the worst experience possible that I had ever for insurance service. I got a low quote but then when I wanted to cancel the insurance before inception. I was asked to call the customer care, which I did. and after the call, I was told that they will send an email that I need to confirm in reply. And I will be charged £60 to cancel the insurance without using it. Then I never received the email from their team(may be blocked by spam filter) and further calls I was sent another email to which I replied immediately. They waited for 3 more days to cancel the policy saying that the email was received late and charged me further for the one day of policy use. I have sent them the email proving that I replied to the email but they would do nothing.

I am taking time out to write this as I wish others to be saved even though I have lost £90 just for clicking on their insurance, I mistake I don't want anyone to do.

I've reported RCBI to the FCA for unfair terms.  I cant believe these cowboys are still in business.

Shame we cannot report you for repeating your post over multiple threads in this section.  Fair enough to post your comment once.   However, doing it on at least 3 threads in the same section is bad form. As is reviving old threads that had nothing in common with your discussion point.   Your post is unhelpful to others as you dont say why you think it is unfair and you action is pointless as the FCA will just forward the message to RCIB to deal with as it is not the role of the FCA to handle consumer complaints directly.

If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

You are comparing me to a cowboy insurance company who rip off loads of people?  I disagree that it's unhelpful, some people only see one thread and I for one want to help signpost as many people as possible to prevent other people being a victim, like I have been.
The FCA will not just refer you back to RCIB if you are reporting them for unfair terms.  If you look at the link then it is fairly obvious that they fail to adhere to the TCF (treating customer fairly) principle and the contracts/agreement have unfair terms e.g. they can take money from your account as they see fit.  Also in my case the terms were completely different after the point of sale than they were before.  I shall continue to share my post as the consequences of having insurance cancelled is far reaching (one may not be able to get insurance) - and expensive.

Yet your spamming the forum with repeated replies and your spam count is rising. If you had done your due diligence you wouldn't have bought with the company. Plenty of threads on here warning about the company. Harping on about a company and necro posting isn't going to help you.

I'm perfectly aware what due diligence means and I am aware you are being sarcastic, although I'm not sure why you would need to be.  But I haven't taken it personally as I understand some people have a different value base to me and need to adopt a "holier than thou" attitude, use sarcasm or condescension to make themselves feel better (generally those who feel 'ownership' of a forum). I suppose I'm just staggered, although I shouldn't be in this day and age, that an attitude exists on a forum which was developed for consumers to give support to each other.  My own view is that to err is human, a victim is never to blame and I offer compassion and help where I can.   It's easy to be judgemental and throw out unhelpful comments from behind a keyboard but to quote an animated character (an old quote but still rings true today) "if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all". BTW I realise the character used a double negative, but the sentiment is perfect.
