Dandytf said:+1 Active Savings finally used to start Charter 6 months .65%.
Had to re check, and I also got HL OTP via Text.
Already have their BLME 1 year at 1.60% in April.
That covers the next 3 tax years share ISAs (or perhaps spends while keeping the funds in my SIPP). I still feel silly locking in to such pathetic rates, ho hum.
But 0.65% from Paragon - no thanks. Their 1 year fix at 1.10% makes a bit more sense. Still poor really.0 -

Does anyone know what the government regulations are that force logout after 5 minutes of inactivity if you hold a savings account?and these standards have been adopted into UK regulation by the FCA: https://www.fca.org.uk/publication/policy/ps19-26.pdfthe maximum time without activity by the payer after being authenticated for accessing its payment account online shall not exceed five minutes.
The regulations apply to payment service providers (PSPs) rather than specifically savings account operators but the definition of that term seems pretty wide at https://www.handbook.fca.org.uk/handbook/glossary/G2619.html5 -

AnotherJoe said:I opened my active savings account with them on Thursday, so that make sense then, thanks. Guess I'll have to get used to it. It's probably not a bad thing, apart perhaps from the 5 minute inactive timeout which could be very annoying.0

I use a Mozilla add on called Tab Auto Refresh, stay logged on for hours, problem solved. There is one for Chrome and maybe even Edge
