Hi Ive just given Three 30 days notice on my mobile account, they have forwarded me a PAC code and final cost (provided I dont go over my limits)
I have bought a new phone and am moving over to Smarty unlimited - question is can I use this PAC code now and get going with the new phone as they gave me the impression I couldnt use the PAC until the 30 days was up?
ANy advice would be great as Im only on a small data contract so running it for the next month is not really enough.

You can't give 30 notice AND get the PAC. Requesting the PAC over rides the 30 days notice (if you don't use the PAC the contract continues).
Once you use the PAC the Three contract ends and the they'll send you a final bill...

To clarify I have today given 30 days notice and they have just sent me a text message with the pac code, I appreciate the three contract is still running as my normal bill and will need to be paid at the end but can I use the pac code in my new phone now and keep the number with Smarty or will it not work until three has fully expired??0

You can use it any time in the next 30 days. Don't leave it too close to the end of the 30 days in case there's a porting problem though...
A PAC is only valid for 30 days, after that you'd need to get a new one.

Use the PAC now. If you wait 30 days it'll expire!0
