Car tax paper display might be coming back

  • If they do bring back tax discs, they should be displayed in the rear window of the car, rather than the front.  That way, it can be seen by anyone following, including dashcams and police cars.

    What happens to vans and lorries with no rear windows? and what about cars with heavily tinted rear windows?

    I must admit, I'm one of those that actually misses a tax disc in the window.  The perfect constant reminder in my view. 
    Make your own and stick it on the windscreen.
    Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!

    The police don't need to see it: they have computers. Why would you ever need it on your dashcam?

    Even better just add it to the fuel tax. The more you use the car, the more you pay.... Can't avoid that.

    Hear hear - the obvious solution.  Fair and difficult (impossible?) to evade.
