First viewing tomorrow - advice on offer.

Hello,
Myself and the girlfriend are viewing a property tomorrow as first time buyers. The house has just been posted on the market for £150k and I just wanted to know what sort of offer we should be looking at. I have spoken with the estate agent and apparently they have 5 more viewings on Saturday so I believe we may have some competition. Is £150k a fair price judging on the photos? Shall we offer lower? Higher?

Thanks in advance,
James.

first step is to check the area for similar properties and then build an acceptable range in your mind.0

Just add some spaces to the link to obfuscate it and someone here will post it.0

You can try leaving out the 'www' and .co' malarkey - just post the guts of the link :-)
Is it on Rightmove or OnTMarket, for example? If not, you can mention the EAgent, price and location and it should be findable.0 -

Ah, there we go! I have removed the www from the beginning so that should work now.

Needs a lot of work, but it's a lovely property and cheap compared to the newer builds on the market. Seems priced to sell bearing in mind the work needed so I don't think you'll have much room for negotiation.
Edited to add, this is a close(ish) comparison

This is what it looked like in 2009 when it was last sold

Edited to add: The current owners have done a nice job of opening up 2 small, dark living areas into an open plan much lighter room. They've added a 3rd bedroom in the loft which is useful for guests. Not sure what the 'bespoke; log cabin is like but would be good as an office of man/woman cave.
Personally I'm not keen on beams so would be looking to remove or paint them out. I think apart from the nice big lintel they seem to be decorative rather than functional (might be wrong). The flooring downstairs looks like it's lifting and uneven so would probably need either replacing or some remedial work. The attic bedroom needs updating.
I actually really like the property. Love the flagstones in the kitchen which looks a good size, could probably get a small dining table and a couple of chairs in there. Living in the South East you couldn't even get a bedsit for 150k!1 -
@MrJamez - let us know how you get on. I absolutely love the property. Yes it needs work but I never expect to not do any work when buying a property. There are some fantastic features in the property and you can really make the garden beautiful."Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison
