Just caught up on your diary you are doing a fab job. I'm just wondering have you sat down and checked the exact dates in 2022 that the cards will stop being 0%. Maybe then work out how much you'd have to pay off per month to clear them by that date. Set DD up for that on each card and if any left over put it towards a sinking fund to help avoid any situations where you might have to pay out for annual bills or unexpected expenses. Once you have a reasonable amount saved, (I'm aiming for £3k £1.5k emergency and 1.5k for annual bills) then up your DDs one at a time on your cards to clear them earlier. I know the focus is usually on clearing debts but as its 0% I think the peace of mind of having a proper sinking fund that you could pay out for things you don't have money budgeted for would really help.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

Thanks rugbymadfamily. We are trying. I do have some slip ups but I’m determined not to let us slip further back in to debt.
Mortgage holiday ended as well last month. We have 9 years left on the mortgage, less if we manage to clear all this debt and do some overpayments.I would love to be in a position to pay insurance, council tax, tv licence etc yearly instead of monthly. Most years we have been managing the car insurance yearly lately so I’m happy with that.
Had another email from the Jamaican company saying that they had tried to contact me today but I have had no calls on either my home or mobile number. They have given me a number to call but it’s a Jamaican number and I know it will cost me a small fortune. They have suggested sending me a cheque. I have googled about fees involved in this and I read it could incur quite hefty fees. I just don’t know what to do for the best.1 -
Well the news of another possible lockdown has freaked me out a bit. They say a month but no one thought the last one would last as long as it did! I know other people are in worse positions than we are but you can’t help but worry.
Everyone keep safe x0 -
I did think it might be coming with other European countries doing the same. Hope they keep the schools open still xx*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

DH has heard from his boss who has said that they will be doing emergency work only so on skeleton staff again. This time tho he has been told that he will be one of those staff which if it’s true will be a huge relief financially.0 -
That would be great if he can be one of those people. Looks like schools are staying open so that's something.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300
