LG TV - set on fire

Hi all, after a bit of advice.
Purchased an LG Oled in 2018 (with 6 year warranty). When on the screensaver last week it randomly set on fire at the back. I was upstairs working in the office, luckily the kids were down stairs and ran up to say something smelled. Came down and TV was on fire, managed to put it out before any serious damage to house (some burns on wall) - but house still stinks of burnt plastic.
The company i purchased from have now collected the TV and said the power component failed and have replaced the part (still waiting on a new back panel as it all melted away). I was first chuffed I was getting the TV back (paid over 2k for this). But now I'm not sure I'm happy having something that randomly burst into flames back in the house, its also one you need to leave plugged in on a night to do screen refreshes - so unplugging each night isn't an option.
Would people just accept the repair (am I'm worrying over nothing)?
thanks all

Problem is you have made the choice , repair .You can always ask would they refund ( less 2 years usage )0

Its just over 2 years. they didnt give me a choice. Took it to see what was wrong with and rang to say its fixed (other than the back piece)0

As was their right under consumer legislation ... if the fault is accepted as being inherent (i.e. they took your word for it and didn't require you to get a report) then the seller must provide a remedy - repair, replace or refund (reduced to account for time of ownership) - and the choice is theirs. They chose to repair.
If it fails again (whether for the same or a different reason) then you can exercise your Final Right To Reject for a refund - again reduced to account for time of ownership.1 -
Does it need to be plugged in all night for screen refreshes, or is it something you can instigate in the evening or morning, for example?0

Thanks i'm just waiting to hear back on why the item set on fire when it failed - the repairer said the tv should at most just blow and turn off. My main worry now is it occurring at night or when out (I will be unplugging even though it says you shouldn't)

All* our stuff is switched off at the plug each night. I'd be very unhappy about leaving a TV etc on standby overnight.*Except for stuff that has to be left on - fridge, freezer etc

You've got me worried, I've got a similar set. Of course it can be switched off at night, but of course you shouldnt need to.0

I never turn off my TV at the wall. I turn it off at the physical switch on the TV, but not at the wall.1

They mostly don't have physical switches on the sets nowadays0

yeah this specific tv says it needs to be plugged in overnight to run its pixel refresh. They cant say whether this fire would have happened on standby or just when tv is actually on.0
