Now why would that need deleting? It’s good reading for anyone else in a similar position. Person A has savings, a high credit score, but recently unemployed, will a credit card help? Answer: most likely no until you’ve got yourself back in employment.sabah37 said:
I suggest you wait until you get a job before applying for credit.Credit card for credit building
gc747 said:Is a credit card still worth having in terms of making me an ideal borrower for the future?I’m currently living at home and have just lost my job thanks to covid 19.Since I have a little spare time on my hands I’ve decided to focus a bit more on my finances, I currently have a 999 credit rating, a nice amount of savings and 2 debit cards that have never been in negativity. However I’ve never had a credit card and I’m just thinking that by having one it may make me seem a more reliable person should I (hopefully) apply for a mortgage.
would now be a good time to apply, given that I’m technically unemployed, or, am I best to carry on as I am ?Many thanks for any helpThat could help a number of people - so I wish the op hadn’t deleted it.0 -
