Did your friend have the valuation precooked as well... How much is the valuation?.Rickydewitt said:
That’s good, things are moving then for you. Glad to hear 😊bell2020 said:We finally had an update this evening -
Address ID requested for the family member gifting equity deposit.
Question regarding an arrangement to pay on my credit file ( its included in our DMP we have been paying for 5yrs )
Questions regarding linked addresses on our credit files.
Reason for credit.
Have replied and submitted utility bill for family member. I wonder how long we will be left waiting now 🙄🙈😂
a friend I know is applying with VIDA too, and she uploaded her reason for adverse letter yesterday and surprisingly her MB emailed her tonight saying they’ve accepted the reason and now will be booking the valuation, this again proves they are working in different ways, that was a quick update for her.0 -

Kay, my main gripe is people being labelled you poetically put it ‘naughty’ step. Those that Lord it Over people Squeaky clean brigade 😊, oh if you don’t pay etc... Though everyone has that moment in life, when things go wrong through ill health, mental health issues or just a rotten bit of luck.. sorry for my rant, but I do believe the banks which we bailed out, should have a quota of people they can help per year. Probably am being a fantasist, just my view.kays69 said:I am not sure if this will be of any help. Our case has been in progress for over 40 days now.
DIP 13/9/2020
Mortgage illustration: 14/9/2020
Full application: 14/9/2020
Hard searches: 15/9/2020
Adverse questions: 22/9/2020
Along the way: explanations about bank statements, debt consolidation forms, proof of returning expensive PCP, Explanation if we had Covid related holidays (we don't).
Now since two weeks ago, they have just gone quiet. Our MB says they are not picking up phones calls. So, if our timeline is anything to go by, this is taking very long. I guess beggars cannot be choosers. It reminds us that we have adverse credit files. Kind of being put into a naughty corner and wait for your turn!!!!
Hopefully, something will come of it. Please keep updating even after you get your offers and complete as I cannot see many success stories here.
I have never understood how it is that when banks are in trouble they want public help, yet when the public needs help no bank is there to help. Through algorithms and Artificial intelligence decisions affecting human beings are made. I guess the point is services like VIDA try to help. I hope it all goes well for us. I believe in the right time, the right move. If this time it doesn't work, I will try again another day.
As of today, we were told that VIDA will be in touch in the next couple of days (Couple meaning just wait).1 -
Hi alanastill12: I am confused. You said you were supposed to get the keys yesterday? Does that mean that you already had the date of exchange without the mortgage offer?? I thought the sequence is: DIP, underwriting, valuation, offered, accept the offer, solicitors finalise things then agree on the date of exchange etc. Is that not the sequence?alanastill12 said:weve had our app in for over 5 weeks, tbh it's taking the mick a bit isn't it?
We escallated last week on 72hr basis (was supposed to get keys last fri) but then nothing til yesterday - got an update, with underwriters, will be reviewed by end of play Wednesday - not amused! seems like the escallation doesn't mean !!!!!! all!0 -
@kays69 things work diffrently in scotland. we can set a date before mortgage offer and it is standard practise to give all parties a rough date to work to.1

Hi Kay, absolutely agree wholeheartedly with assessment on that - usual ‘computer said no’, erm it’s the Human who programmed the computer 😂. Real blessing to us Vida hopefully, just past mistakes though everyone makes mistakes all part of being human.kays69 said:

Though am unsure if everything will be completed in time. My Solicitor said HTB has its own deadlines, so if all goes well & we get something on the 11th next month - our exchange will be 7 December.
Really unsure what to do. 😊0 -
Alana is same boat as you, did you find the escalated letter made any difference.alanastill12 said:@kays69 things work diffrently in scotland. we can set a date before mortgage offer and it is standard practise to give all parties a rough date to work to.0 -
they talked the big talk about it being done in 72 hours - that ended on monday and as yet no update! always worth a try but seems like theyve just forgotten about it!Resnik001 said:

See the initial underwrite being 19 days is that for new applications received, Or is when the day you submit you’re app - it’s whatever their site was showing for that day?. As that would bring us to 5 November.0 -
i don't think any of it lines up tbh0
