What's this that's fallen off the car?

Was driving the missus' car (c4 grande) this morning and found this hanging off the front underside.
What is it, and is it important?
Will a normal garage be able to fix it or is it a trip to the dealer? Are garages and dealerships even open?

Hi,it's an engine compartment under tray to help stop muck getting flung up into the engine compartment.1

And it looks broken so unlikely to be able to refit that unit and for it to remain in place. Probably need a replacement from a scrappy/breaker.0

I've got similar problems with my missus, bits don't work or are falling off and they are oblivious. If they told you, you could sort it before it was totally goosed1

It's not primarily to stop muck getting in - it's aerodynamic.
Or, rather, was. It's now broken.0 -
I certainly wouldn't be rushing straight to a dealer for one, it's not absolutely essential that you replace it asap and the car is still usable without it in place, I'd be trawling ebay and local scrappies for one.0

As people have said.It is not important much. Either aerodynanic improvements, but underside I doubt it. So probably just noise reduction.Replace it or don't. Does not matter. It you do, go over the speedbumps better in future or it will just fall off again.0

Engine cover. Ironically, I found one behind the shed yesterday (recently bought house).
Note thats quite a break - check that the other half isn't still stuck on the car, scraping along etc. Normally held on by clips/inserts around it, plus some screws/bolts.

Not only does it stop muck getting to the engine, it also stops minor oil drips getting to the floor - they congeal as an oily mess on the tray rather than on your lovely block work driveway.0

There's quite a chunk missing, possibly still attached to the car - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-C4-Picasso-C4-II-DS4-Under-Engine-Cover-UNDERTRAY-Fitting-Kit/254429031750?
Someone's been running over a sleeping policeman at speed by the looks of it.0 -
I'd repair/replace it. Might cause an mot failure instead of an advisory in the future if it's missing.0
