HELP! Can you check my defence for me? (Steps after Claim Form?)

Look
You told them who drove. It seems really obvious based on what you said above, that you DID say who drove
So why would you bother saying youre not the only driver? How does that help YOU in YOUR defence?
Well
It looks more like an O that has faded than a 1 that has faded.
And
Where is bay 161?1 -

That's exactly what I am trying to figure out!You said:Para 17 stayspara 17 staysYou amend it to match YOUR situation. But it stays in.Para 18 needs rewriting so there is NO IMPLICATION AT ALL abou tthe driver. Never ever give any hint as to the drivers identity in all of this. Never. Certainly not in a document signed under a statement of truth, and thus has more "weight" than an earlier document. Then:'If the driver has been given away, then there is no point talking about POFA at all.’Apologies again for my lack of understanding. If para 17 stays, how do I square everything?Should I just roll over and pay up? I’m very confused here.0 -
@ Where is bay 161?
I have no idea. As far as I am concerned I was in bay 161. The only indication I had on which bays to park in (I was a visitor) was paint markings on the floor.
And I had a permit for 161:

The permit you show above looks to be in the house colours of Excel Parking (a company linked to VCS), were there signs showing in the car park, were they VCS signs, do you have photos of the signs?
Theres a litany of cases where VCS are suing Excel cases (and vice versa). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Have you checked the photos on the VCS website? Usually with a NtD PPCs try to show the parking 'contravention' with the signage in view. Excel signs are in garish blue and yellow colours, where VCS signs are in black and red on a white background.benjward said:Thanks @Umkomaas
I don't remember any signs and I don't have any photos, unfortunately. It was over 4 years ago.
I thought that a photo of a worn away parking bay number would be enough (perhaps incorrectly??)Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The PCN is definitely from Vehicle Control Services Limited, is that what you mean?
I have all the photos from the officer, but the signs don't appear. Just the markings on the floor.0 -
I know it's from VCS, but there has been a number of cases where VCS were suing motorists who parked in an Excel controlled car park. I was just trying to find the possibility of another 'out' for you. I didn't ask about the photos 'from the officer', I asked about photos from the VCS website. Never mind.benjward said:The PCN is definitely from Vehicle Control Services Limited, is that what you mean?
