Linsar TV and Co-op terrible product and customer service

Options
So I bought a 55" Linsar TV last March (2019) through Co-op electrical and it started to play up in the summer with a faint line down the screen and finally packed up and black screened in December. Co-op pushed us towards Linsar who picked it up and said it was unrepairable and offered a replacement. I was not happy that a TV would only last a few months before going wrong so said I would like a refund. My mind had been made up as in the meantime I had read some reviews which reflected my poor experience and also had used my Xmas bonus from work to buy a replacement as we couldnt be expected to not have a TV to watch. We have been bounced back and forward between Co-op and Linsar ever since, it was even escalated to management (whatever that entails, probably not a lot) at the Co-op. Finally to be told 6 months later Co-op will not refund us and Linsar will only offer a replacement which we firstly dont want and secondly now dont need as we had bought a replacement in the intervening 6 months. Linsar really are terrible on the customer service front, at one point after they had condemned the old TV and offered us a replacement we received a call from them to ask us to box the TV back up and send it to them for inspection...
Anyway where do I stand consumer wise? Do we have to take a replacement we dont want or should they be refunding us the money? Do I need to look at a small claims process as neither side are prepared to give us our money back? Any advice very welcome, thank you.

Consumer wise you are not entitled to a refund .

Warranty from Linsar  subject to any terms and conditions they choose.Or none at all in respect of replace /
Consumer Rights  the law against the vendor .
Their choice to repair replace or refund .
  • ok so at their hands, despite me not wanting a replacement. A TV I dont want or indeed now need.

Yes Consumer Law  you cannot blame them for you buying a tv .
Consumer Rights  the law against the vendor the Co-op.
Their choice to repair replace or refund .
